Spence,

Food always tastes better when someone else cooks, serves and pays for
it. Now if they just could figure out a way for someone else to gain
five pounds from eating at the Paris and Bellagio buffet all week, it
would be Heaven on Earth. Heck yes, walking around with a few grand of
the casino's money in your pocket feels good. It is like legal
stealing. Like being a politician. Where else besides a casino can you
spend three days, eat, party and sleep like a Kennedy, then walk out
with more funny green money than you brought?

Losing is a bummer, no two ways about it. But most of us have had
magical trips to Vegas where the Law of Stupid Gambler's was suspended
for a couple of days. Impossible to forget those times. "Oh yeah, if I
had been betting black instead of green, I'd be retiring" And, yes,
I've always been certain that "Good Luck, Sir" is Veganese for " F you,
you dumb a__ loser".

It's all entertainment. Budget the amount that you will spend
entertaining yourself (much like going to a movie or play), and
anticipate that it will be gone, of course.

And if it happens not to be gone, you will be pleasantly surprised.

It's always fun to win, but just playing is also fun.

We didn't win every basketball game we played, and we always tried to
win, but we never stopped playing. We still enjoyed the game.

Might I suggest a game where you are not playing against the house,
such as poker.

When the house doesn't care whether you win or not, you tend to win
more.

You may be on to something, Spence. There is a rumor circulating
around here that the casino does actually want you to lose some money
in the casino's, but as of yet nobody has been able to conclusively
prove it.

Being that the game odds vastly favor the players, and statistically
you should win virtually every game you play, there have been some
reports here and there of people actually losing hands of blackjack, or
NOT hitting a Royal Flush on the video poker machines after a full ten
hands being played.

I don't believe it though. I think it is just one of those whacky
grassy knoll conspiracy theories.

When they wish you luck, they mean it. Why wouldn't they?

Everyone knows that the casino's make their money on the outrageous
buffet prices.

They just use the gambling machines to lure you to the Buffet's.

I don't care what the PATCO reject said TR, your back on my killfile list.
Weird behavior in a casino is taken seriously and the casino could give a
ratsass, if the dealers are upset. Since I go to Harrah's?Indiana, which is
not a ratfuck casino. It is the LARGEST riverboat casino in the US moron and since I go there, along with my aunt, uncle and several cousins, we asked david, my cousin, if it would look bad, if we sat at his table. he did not like at idea at all and suggested we not play at his table. Anything that
takes the gamblers attention away from gambling, is disliked by the casino. Regardless of what you may say, I know for a fact, that to walk around and hand out chips to dealers, when you not playing at all, after a time, would be considered disruptive and you might get tossed. Even if that turns out to only be my opinion, why do you get so aggritated about the subject?

Congratulations asshole. your now back on the killfile list. I hope you went
shopping on the 4th and stocked up on condoms. They make great stocking stuffers for your boyfriends at christmas.

Buy a bunch of chips and walk around tipping the dealers, while giving the
casino no "action" will most likely get you escorted from the premises by
security. Your actions may not be illegal, but it will be considered
"strange and unusual" activity and the casino won't want to take any
chances.

Noe Schitt Sherlock! But some compulsive losers may have their
day ruined by winning though. :)

More Noe Schitt Sherlock to you! Are you really THAT gullible?

They hope you lose your ASS -- the bigger the better. They'll do
ANYTHING to help you lose. That's their profit-making business.
You really think they hope you win?

They hope to get TIPS from the winners. Winners are much more
likely to tip than losers, and amateurs and tourists are more likely
to tip than pros who are fighting tooth-and-nail for that extra tiny
fraction of one percent in blackjack to raise the chance for a win,
beside pure luck.

If you REALLY want to feel good and make everyone happy in a
casino, just go get plenty of chips and NOT PLAY, and walk by
the tables and tip all the dealers and workers and waitresses,
and I can ASSURE you that they'll be smiling REALLY big at you
every time you walk by doing that, AND their wishes of good
luck may indeed be sincere (that you win a big lottery and can
afford to buy black chips to tip everyone). :-))
