Yeah, what everyone else said, there are several parking lots on the Arizona side, as you go up the switchbacks there are more lots to park in (lots of dam lots!) and the views are great from up there. If you don't have time to
see the dam, just turn on the tap in your sink at the hotel and you can see the same water.

I-15 South, 215 East to 95/515 South thru Boulder City and watch for the signs...can't miss it. Also as you drive along, check out the construction for the new dam bypass road they're building, it's pretty awesome. I like doing the ride on my motorcycle since it's more scenic that way. You can rent a motorcycle at Las Vegas Harley-Davidson on Sahara and Eastern (east of the Strip) for about $120 a day...I'm off on a tangent as usual here....I'll shut up now

Well to be sure it will be the busiest extended weekend of the year. High room rates, high airfares, high table minimums. Crowded restaurants/buffets.

But it will be party time and probably a good time for all.

You might consider Martin Luther weekend. Certainly lower in price and less crowded. Another good time is (usually) the weekend after the Superbowl. And one more in warmer weather is Easter weekend.
