Sushi Tip

My wife and I are sushi novices (our kids are afficionados). We’d like to try some sushi this trip, but don’t want to take a cab.

Where are the best places for sushi downtown and mid-strip?

I’ll be glad to take recs for what to order as well.

Thanks,

Tom

You might want to try one of the Japanese buffets. That way, if you decide that sushi isn’t doing it for you there will be other food to eat. I went to Todai, in the Harrah’s mall area and found it to be quite good. Cost was reasonable also, around $25 per person for dinner.

Fortunately, all the sushi is available to see and taste. Try them all – it’s mostly about the different texture sensations, along with taste. Tuna, salmon and yellow tail are the most mild. Squid and clam can be a bit chewie. Eel (cooked) is great. Try some with the fish eggs – great sesation when they pop/burst on your tongue.

    Good luck,
    Sandy K.
