Las Vegas Strip Hotel Wins First Mobil 5-Star RankingÂ
For the first time, a Las Vegas Strip hotel has been awarded five stars in the Mobil Travel Guide ranking of luxury resorts.
The Tower Suites at Wynn Las Vegas was one of 37 hotels awarded the top ranking for 2007. The announcement was made today (Thursday) in New York.
Alex at the Wynn resort, and Joel Robuchon at The Mansion in the MGM Grand hotel-casino were the only Las Vegas restaurants awarded five stars.
Hotel owner Steve Wynn says the award shows Las Vegas isn’t just Glitter Gulch and gambling anymore. He says hotel staff had to work real hard to get the five-star ranking.
Other Las Vegas hotels including the Bellagio, Four Seasons Las Vegas, Venetian, Wynn and Ritz-Carlton Lake Las Vegas have made the four-star list before.
The Tower Suites is a 600-room section of the 27-hundred room at Wynn. It opened in 2005.

After staying in the tower suites, I understand why this was awarded to Wynn.
Definitely the classiest place in Vegas, IMHO
I am sure the golf course got 6-stars
