Cameron Diaz with new hookup in Las Vegas

May 19th, 2007

Cameron Diaz and Criss Angel Las VEgasTogether again!

After spending last weekend together in Las Vegas, Cameron Diaz is back in Sin City visiting new hookup, illusionist Criss Angel.

After arriving in town Friday afternoon, Diaz and Angel dined at Social House restaurant in the Treasure Island Hotel, reports People magazine.

The couple arrived for dinner at 6:30 p.m. and took a spot in the restaurant’s lounge chatting over drinks before retreating to a private dining room overlooking The Strip.

The two sat across from one another as the meal began, but ended up sitting next to each other by the end of the meal.

After a really long evening of dinner, drinks and flirting, the couple headed over to Pure around midnight, where they were seen cuddling in the VIP area drinking wine and whispering into each other’s ear, sources tell the mag.

Around 1:15 A.M., the pair headed to Body English at the Hard Rock for more partying and then they probably went back to their hotel room and farted in each others’ faces while videotaping themselves.

How romantic!

Las Vegas Literature

December 6th, 2006

Has anyone here read  “Running Scared: The Life and Treacherous Times of Las Vegas Casino King Steve Wynn” by John L. Smith?  From my brief research on the book it appears to be a complete slamfest of Wynn, complete with what some people may call “inaccuracies”.

I’m trying to find a good fix for my Las Vegas book obsession and I am having a tough time deciding which title to read next.

I’ve read Mezrich’s collection and recently read a travel book entitled “Las Vegas Little Black Book: A Guy’s Guide to the Perfect Vegas Getaway”.  I’d save your money on this one as it comes across as a commercial for the TI in my opinion, although it is enteraining at times and a nice short read at just over 200 pages.  The book stresses the importance of optimizing time while in Vegas, having a set plan and sticking to it, taking command of your group - basically being the vacation nazi.  I can’t say that I totally disagree with the advice given but the recommendations come across as a tad superficial and the tone of the authorv is often conceited.

So what will be my next book?  I’ll allow the fine literary critics of AVLV to choose for me.  I’ve also been considering “Super Casino”.

Thanks.
